*Important Information*– Please read before downloading and installing the Lync Client 2013

1. Before you download and install the Lync Client 2013 is extremely important that you make sure you have applied the latest updates to both your operating system (Windows) and to your MS Office 2010 or 2013. Failure to do this will result in an unsuccessful attempt to install the Lync Client 2013.

2. Please make note of the MS Office version you are running. If you are running the 32bit version of MS Office 2010 or 2013 you will need to download and install the 32bit version of the Lync Client 2013.

3. As the downloadable files from the AMES site are .ISO images you will need to burn them to a disc with software/freeware that is freely available on the internet such as; ISO Opener - http://www.isoopener.com/ There is a small tutorial on how to download and install ISO Opener below

4. We understand that the downloads for Lync Client are rather large in size and are therefore conscious that this may be an issue for many due to download limits and slower internet connections. We have burnt both versions of the Lync Client 2013 files to a disc which can then be sent to you at your request to make the process a more efficient and pleasant end user experience for you. If you would like a disc to be sent to you please contact Ann Hardingham email: Ann.Hardingham@cae.edu.au with your request . There is a small tutorial on how to install using the DVD below.

Alternatives to the ISO Opener for you to try:
Virtual Clone DriveWorks and behaves just like a physical CD/DVD drive, however it exists only virtually. You don't need to burn, unzip or unpack the file, just browse as though it's a CD and click on the "Set up" file to install lync.

Download the app:

Other alternatives to check out include: magic disk, WinCDemu, OSFmount.

Also if you have an unzipping program on your such as WinRAR or WinZip and you have set their preferences to be associated with .iso files then you will also be able to open the file and browse the files just as you can with Virtual Clone Drive
